Torbat-e Jam – Mashhad, November 2025 – The Association for Protection of Refugee Women and Children.HAMI organized a series of life skills training programs for children, adolescents, and adults in the Afghan community at Torbat-e Jam and its Mashhad office. These programs, focusing on emotional resilience, anger management, and family upbringing, covered over 40 educational sessions in October 2025 and were warmly received by participants.
According to HAMI Association’s public relations, these courses were designed to enhance the quality of life for refugees, particularly amidst the challenges of migration, and were delivered by experienced instructors. These trainings are vital for fostering individual and collective resilience, helping participants better cope with daily challenges and strengthen family and social bonds. Attendees, ranging from primary school children to adults, provided positive feedback on the practicality of the sessions.
The programs, categorized by age group, include:
- Boys and Girls (Lower Primary): Resilience and anger management, empathy training
- Adolescent Boys and Girls (Lower and Upper Secondary): Communication skills, identifying and expressing emotions, anger management, and emotional coping strategies
- Adult Women (Parents and Families): Child-rearing, interacting with children aged 3-7, family health practices
The program coordinator at HAMI Association stated: “This initiative not only strengthens individual resilience but also fosters stronger family bonds within the refugee community. Similar programs will continue in the coming months.”
