Support and relief

Continue advocating for all institutions to allocate specific resources to cover specific needs of women and children at risk. 2- Focus more on psychosocial training for children, parents/caregivers, teaching personnel & host community members. 3- Continue advocating for Advocacy maximum registration at public schools with low drop-out rates. 4- Expand its participatory approach in all locations where it has established Basic Education Centers and upon availability of fund scale up the effort and draw on a wealth of experience derive from 12 years of successful implementation in other urban and pri-urban areas. 5- Establish new Centers & offer day-care to adult female learners, psychosocial support workshops & life skills course, offer transportation in collaboration with city officials. 6- Ensure disabled children’s access to education through collaboration with Iran’s SWO.

The Mehr to Mehr campaign

For the fifth year and at the beginning of new school year   HAMI association, started a campaign, along with a group of domestic and international producers, to support the education of children who live in deprived areas and villages.

For implementing this project, more than 2,500 packets were distributed among students in deprived areas in Tehran, Qom, Ilam, North Khorasan and Sistan and Baluchestan provinces.

Distribution of supportive packages (food and health) among Afghan refugee families

HAMI protection service center made some help in this regard to support essential needs of Afghan refugee families by:

– Distributing some food as (milk, fruit, bread and cheese, etc.) among HAMI students in Tehran, Mashhad, Semnan and Qom;

– Distributing food packages supplied by some charity associations (rice, oil, paste, beans, pasta, etc.) among the damaged and exposed families in Tehran, Mashhad, Semnan and Qom;

Distributing health packages including shampoos, soaps, toothbrushes, and toothpastes … Provided by the UNHCR and the charity of the families of affected and injured Afghan refugees.

Funding the Registration in Public Schools for Afghan Students

In order to facilitate and reach the maximum number of immigrant and refugee children in public schools through 2018-2019, HAMI association, could collect a group of benefactors, to fund the registration and entry fees of 38 students in deprived areas

This project, which was implemented at HAMI center of Tehran, provided all of school fees, included enrollment, school uniforms, etc.

  Providing medical-health services for the affected and injured people

 Hami association as in previous years and by Considering the high costs of medical treatment and medical examinations, especially for Afghan refugees cooperated with charities to provide health care for individuals in HAMI centers of Tehran, Mashhad, Qom and Semnan This process has been done through the following activities:

1- Free medical examinations

All students who are under the supervision of HAMI ‘s educational centers made some health testes with the help of physicians, dentists and volunteer nutritionists, (including blood tests, developmental and nutritional status, and hair and dental care) and they pursued their treatment following   Prescript   drugs or food supplements.

2- Health centers

in Tehran, Khorasan Razavi, Qom and Semnan students were provided by medical services and nearly 70 students attended health centers where they received free health care services and supported by medical treatment.

Consultancy Services at the Head Office of HAMI

Providing social services in the field of protection and relief, is the major target which the experts of HAMI are always ready to provide. This obligation is achievable by counseling and assistance services to clients who call or seek help with their problems.
