Social Services

Social Services and capacity building

The Code of Conduct of HAMI are based on preserving and respecting the human dignity of all people regardless of any differences in gender, nationality, ethnicity and religion. Based on this, HAMI considers himself obliged to respect the rights of all human beings and their enjoyment of public services and welfare without any discrimination, regardless of the mentioned differences. Among them, refugees and asylum seekers, especially refugee women and children More vulnerability requires more attention and support.

The project of “Providing social services to refugees women and vulnerable groups “, established in HAMI social service center with the support of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Iran and the foreign  Immigrants  office  in 2015 for the first time.

After Mashad started the project with the goal of expanding its activities.  Other social service centers of HAMI started their activity in 2016 in Semnan and Qom to provide a wider range of educational and counseling services for refugee’s community.

Now, after about 5 years of implementation, these centers have become social and cultural bases for responding to the multiple and diverse needs of Afghan refugees, especially women. And the target is development and promotion.

Facing the problems of the Afghan refugee community, by helping and empowering them and on the other hand, has created a sense of personal and social attitudes to trust building through in people’s lives.

The services provided in these centers are defined and developed in three operational units with specific activities:

1-program and supporting units:

  • Creating thought rooms
  • Development and design of various executive programs
  • assessment through field studies for needs and organizing grup sessions (FGD)
  • meetings with government officials, facilitators, stakeholders and local elders
  • Coordination with training and counseling units
