HAMI  center of  Mashhad has started its activities in Razavi Khorasan province and centered in Mashhad city in 2008. 3 effective areas in these activities; It has been to create an opportunity for the access of children left out of school to education, to provide social services to women and the affected and vulnerable refugee groups, and also to empower the refugee youth living in this province. The activities carried out include a wide range of services and facilities, which include holding training courses for children left out of school, practical training for refugee women and youth, providing legal, psychological and health counseling services to vulnerable groups.

HAMI  social service centers have become a social and cultural centers to respond to the multiple and diverse needs of Afghan refugees, particularly women and the girls. lt not only facilitate the assessment and address of the needs in the refugee family but also change negative and harmful individual and social belief among refugees based on the trust has been built after several year of service provision in the community. The services provided in these centers are defined and developed in three operational units which has their own specific activities as below:

Program and support unit (- Establishment of the thinking rooms – Development and design of various executive programs – Need assessment through field studies and organizing Focus Group Discussions(FGD) – Advocacy through regular meetings with government officials, facilitator’s, stakeholders and local leaders – Coordination with Education and Counseling units – Social assistance for refugees and migrants

Education Unit) Organizing training sessions and workshops both in the centers and the local community in different subjects such as life skills, effective parenting, family health and rights. – Coordination with Program and Counseling units

 Consultation Unit(Conducting individual and group counseling sessions on psychological, legal and personal health/hygiene issues – Coordination with Program and support units  )
The basic education center for children left out of school has always been welcoming refugee children and teenagers who have not had access to education during the last 14 years. In this center, in addition to educational services, other areas of education, psychology and social work for children are also given attention and support.
