Khorasan Razavi Office (Mashhad)
Hami started its activities in Khorasan Razavi province and Mashhad city in 2008 by providing educational services to children who have dropped out of school in the local community of refugees living in Mashhad city. Literacy of children, adolescents and refugee women is one of the 12 years of supportive educational activities in Mashhad, which has been widely welcomed.
In 1394, Hami Comprehensive Social Services Center was established in cooperation with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Iran (UNHCR) to increase refugees’ access to social services, and from the beginning has provided comprehensive social, educational, livelihood, legal, and psychological services. Cognition, counseling and social work for refugees and immigrants living in Khorasan Razavi province.
One of the latest achievements of Hami in Mashhad is the establishment of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Empowerment Workshop for Refugee Women in 1397, which paved the way for the employment of refugee women in Iran. The sewing workshop of Hami Entrepreneurship Center of Mashhad, after receiving orders from governmental and non-governmental institutions, now continues its activities in a sustainable and independent manner in order to empower the refugee women in Mashhad.
Cooperation and positive interaction with other governmental, non-governmental and international organizations are among the strengths of the association in Khorasan province.
