Art is always the most effective learning tool for children, which provide learning and education opportunities for them. Painting has a tremendous effect on children’s mental development and is a chance to practice creativity, relieve stress and go through tensions alongside playing with colors. In addition, considering that educability in younger children is easier than older, art is an encouraging and recreational tool.
Residence of millions Afghan migrants and refugees in Iran for nearly 4 decades, is one of the suitable opportunities that is necessary for the Islamic Republic of Iran to provide required human investments for different social groups specially children, teenager and youth migrants through cultural and social programs to access its national and regional aims and massive interests. In this way, while identifying individual capacities and drawing brighter future for them, facilitate their social integration opportunities until they stay in the country.
In this regard, emphasizing on cultures and common culture, social and historical norms can in the same time, increasing individual interactions, emphasize on the proximity and mutual understanding between host and migrant communities too. Hear “Nowrouz” as a common culture heritage within the territorial boundaries of the region, is the best tool which can provide even broader range of understanding and cultural values between two nations.
HAMI with over two decades of professional international activities in the field of refugee women and children raising by arm conflicts and forced migrations specially women and children as the largest group of refugees, intends to held a painting competition named “Nowrouz in the Afghan refugee children eyes” among refugee and migrants children resident in Iran.
This competition will be held in one stage and in a festival winner will honoured.
