Association for Protection of Refugee Women and Children (HAMI) is a non-governmental Iranian organization which has started its non-official activities independently and voluntarily in 1999, with regard to concerns about the presence of more than 4 million refugees and immigrants from neighboring countries that migrated to Iran because of armed conflicts and political crisis.
Hami association has started its activities to support from refugee women and children who typically are more vulnerable to physical and mental health and focused on providing services for refugee women and children in Iran.
In 2017-2918 academic year, Hami opened its 4 centres in Tehran (Janatabad), Semnan, Qom and Mashhad, with the focus on basic training (primary schools) and social services.
Along with our main purpose (education), Hami organize some empowering activities for students and their parents such as traditional celebrations, anger control workshops, life skills workshops, individual health training.
Hami also run 3 social centres in Semnan, Qom and Mashhad for refugee families to empower, support, strengthen, provide the needs and rebuild their individual and social life.
