UNHCR Tehran field office representatives made a visit to HAMI Social Service Center in Semnan which was made operational under HAMI-UNHCR and BAFIA Project Partnership Agreement in 2017. This visit that was hold on 9 and 10 August, was an opportunity for further discussion among HAMI social centers’ manager and UNHCR representatives about the challenges and opportunities for the project and refugees needs in both urban and settlement area in Semnan province.
Ms. Ladan Moshari and Mr. Yadollah Mohammadi, UNHCR Field Association attended on the training workshops at HAMI’s Semnan center and had a close dialogue with the course trainers, staffs and refugee participants. They also visited individual consultation sessions for refugee women that were held at the Mohajerin Settlement of Semnan on Thursday.
HAMI Social Center in Semnan is one of the three centers HAMI runs besides its other services to provide psycho-legal counseling for refugee women and youth as well as holding different training courses based on refugees need on various topics such as life skills, effective child raising, reproducing hygiene, legal issues and etc.
HAMI’s other social centers are located in Mashhad and Qom.
