Members of the Australian Institute of International Affairs in Melbourne (AIIA) paid a visit to HAMI Basic Education Center in Shourabad on Wednesday April 12, 2017. During the meeting, they were introduced to the status of refugees and immigrants in Iran. To learn more about the services provided to refugee and immigrant children by HAMI Basic Education Center, the group visited HAMI center in Shourabad.
During the meeting, members of AIIA discussed also other services such as education for all children without any discrimination and health insurance for all refugees, provided to refugees and immigrants by government of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
As part of the visit, they also enjoyed a small exhibition from refugee children’s handicrafts.
At the end director of HAMI discusses the challenges they are facing to attract women and girls to attend literacy courses and announced the continuation of HAMI educational services for next year.
